Yeah!
You lie awake, your body aches
Livin' your life under the shadow of your father
She's flying high, you don't realize
She's got her share of her own problems in her life
You'd better slow down, you know you're livin' too fast
You're gonna break down, they say you're never gonna last
Chorus:
Two hearts beat as one together
It may not be forever, but it's for now - yeah!
Two kids, they were nothing special
But they both had the metal to say who they are
Two hearts, two hearts
The age gap, the mental lapse, livin' at home can drive you crazy
But you take it
She's workin' hard to hide the scars
Nobody said it would be easy, but she's tryin'
You'd better wake up, too busy livin' in the past
You'd better shape up, 'cause this could be the chance
(chorus)
(Solo)
Now it's the showdown, they're gonna put you to the test
You gotta break out, you gotta do your best
Two hearts beat as one together
It may not be forever, but it's for now - yeah
Two kids, they were nothing special
But they both had the metal to say "Here we are" - yeah
Two hearts, when two worlds collide it starts - yeah
Two hearts, when two worlds collide, there's no place to hide
Two hearts
I suppose the record shows that I'm a loser now
All I need is one more chance, oh baby
I've been waiting a lifetime for someone like you
I promise you this time, that I can really see it through
Chorus:
Don't worry 'bout me, that's all ancient history
Ooh baby you make me strong, if we're together, we can't go wrong
Now I find the dye is cast, and this must be the last
Time for me, but is love blind, oh baby
I've been waiting a lifetime for someone like you
I promise you this time, that I can really see it through
(chorus repeats 2x)
(Solo)
(chorus repeats out...)
Got my nose to the wheel, but I don't steal, I'm a good boy
Gonna work till I drop, I'll never stop, I'm a good boy
Oh I'm not looking for a good time girl
Oh I'm not looking for a good, looking for a good time girl
Thru my baby's eyes, I'm the king of lies
Tried to tell her I'm not that kind of guy
Every time she looks at me, all my baby sees is the king of lies
The king of lies
Honey like it or not, I've changed a lot, I'm a bad boy
Got a license to tease, I wanna please, I'm a bad boy
Oh I'm looking for a good time girl
Oh I'm looking for a good, looking for a good time girl
Thru my baby's eyes, I'm the king of lies
Tried to tell her I'm not that kind of guy
Every time she looks at me, all my baby sees
Thru my baby's eyes, I'm the king of lies - king of lies
(Solo)
Oh I'm looking for a good, looking for a good time girl
Thru my baby's eyes, I'm the king of lies
Tried to tell her I'm not that kind of guy
Thru my baby's eyes, I'm the king of lies
Tried to tell her I'm not that kind of guy
Every time she looks at me, all my baby sees is the king of lies
King of lies
Thru my baby's eyes I'm the king of lies
Thru my baby's eyes, the king of lies, the king of lies
Thru my baby's eyes, king of lies... (to fade)
You may be wrong, you may be right, we don't need this out tonight
When all is said, I still love you
A lonely day, a lonely night, keeps me on this endless flight
When all is said, I still love you
Oh no, don't tell me about it, oh no, I don't wanna hear about it
Chorus:
Running the endless mile through the lonely night
Trying to chase those dark clouds away
Running the endless mile through the lonely night
Miles and miles away, I wanna sleep all day
You're gonna hear me coming, you're gonna see me running the endless mile
Don't walk away, don't stay and fight, nothing I can do seems right
When all is said, I still love you
Oh no, don't tell me about it, oh no, I don't wanna hear about it
(chorus)
(Solo)
The silence is deafening, I hear my heart moan
The water is getting in, can you hear me, can you hear me
Running the endless mile through the lonely night
Trying to chase those dark clouds away
Running the endless mile through the lonely night
Miles and miles away, you can see me coming your way
Running the endless mile through the lonely night, running the endless mile
(repeats out)
Under your protective wing I walked into the night
And a thousand angry demons up and took flight
I went running through the fields with the fever in my veins
And the rain came crashing down and tried to clear my name
Above my head, all in red, I could see you bearing down on me
You said you're not running out, you said you're not leaving now
I will find you, there is no way
I'll keep tracking you down in the still of the night
Forever, you're mine forever
Chorus:
Don't leave your mark on me, no need to reply
I'm not staying, I'm just killing time
Don't leave your mark on me, no need to reply
I'm not staying, no, I'm not staying no
This nightmare never ends, memories of absent friends
Mistress of the darkness, accomplice of the night
A shadow in the doorway beckons me inside
And something led the way though I couldn't see its face
And a voice from deep inside me screamed to get out of this place
In my head, someone said that the jailor turned the key on me
He said you're not running out, he said you're not leaving now
I will find you, there ain't no way, no way, yeah
(chorus)
This nightmare never ends, memories of absent friends
(Solo)
Don't leave your mark on me
(Nightmares that will never end, drink a toast to absent friends)
(repeats out)
Nobody... nobody's watching - yeah!
Dangerous moments, too hot to mention
Pangs at midnight, sexual tension
Running on empty, I need to fill, self stimulation
No code of practice, no rule of thumb
Before you know it, you're overcome
It's satisfaction that we all crave, don't be a stranger
Chorus:
You got an itch you can't scratch
It's in the heat, your purple patch
You got an itch you can't scratch
It drives you crazy, you've met your match
S-C-R-A-T-C-H, baby don't you hesitate, scratch
I'll be right over, he said with a grin
Don't you boil over, before I get in
It's satisfaction that we all crave, don't be a stranger
(chorus)
(Solo)
Closer and closer, deeper and deeper
(chorus - without last line)
You gotta scratch, scratch, you gotta scratch, scratch
It drives you crazy, you've met me, you've met your match
Scratch, scratch, you're gonna let me scratch, scratch
You got an itch you can't scratch
S-C-R-A-T-C-H, baby you don't hesitate... (to fade)
You can play any game you wanna play, don't play with my affection
You can say anything you wanna say, so talk in my direction
Don't tell me "I want to", don't lead me on
'Cause when we dance, see our bodies synchronise, moving close together
Pretty words, pouring from those pretty lips
Tasting sweet, and telling me surrender
Don't touch me so tender, don't lead me on
You're givin' me some of my own medicine, won't ya do it again
My kinda needs are strictly physical, won't ya do it again
'Cause I can't wait till when we do it again
Tellin' me, ya gonna do everything, even things I can't believe
There's a plan, written in the prophecy, spellin' out our destiny
Don't touch me so tender, don't lead me on
You're givin' me some of my own medicine, won't ya do it again
My kinda needs are strictly physical, won't ya do it again
Ya givin' me, givin' me some of my own medicine, and I like it
You're a one night miracle, I'm an animal man
I can't wait till when we do it again
Smoke is rising in the air
You're givin' me some of my own medicine, won't ya do it again
My kinda needs are strictly physical, won't ya do it again
Ya givin' me, givin' me some of my own medicine, and I like it
You're a one night miracle, I'm an animal man
Do it again, won't ya do it again, won't ya do it again, do it again
Workin' all night, sleepin' all day, for all that money I'm never gonna spend
Keep it up straight, never let it bend, come on honey, do it again
Do it again, won't ya do it again
Do it again, whoa-oh do it again, and I like it
Chorus:
Blame it on the moonlight, blame it on the radio
I just wanna hold her tight, and never let her go
Maybe it's her blue eyes, or maybe it's her sweet hello
I just know it feels so right, I gotta let her know
Yeah!
Who's that girl walking down the street, who's that girl I got to meet
Sexy dress, cut with style, she makes me weak, she drives me wild
I got her number written on my hand, it's more than I can stand
(Chorus)
Who's that girl, I got to know, who's that girl, I can't let go
Hot 'n bothered, I can't sleep at night, one kiss could make it right
Blame it on the moonlight, blame it on the radio
I just wanna hold her tight, and never let her go
Maybe it's her blue eyes, or maybe it's her sweet hello
I just wanna know, blame the radio, blame the radio
I always seem to be the lonely one
Maybe someday I'll be the only one, the only one
Blame it on the moonlight, blame it on the radio
Blame it on me, blame it on you, oh
Blame it on the radio, blame it on the radio
Blame it on your father, oh your mother, blame it on anyone, anyone
Blame it on the radio, the radio, the radio, the radio... (to fade)
(Vices)
Drinking and smoking, nothing can satisfy
Sleeping together, you are my only vice
You are the controller, the master of all my senses
You're working me over, there's no escape
Chorus:
'Cause you can run, but you can't hide
In everyone of us, there's a hunger deep inside
We all need love, we all feel pain
Though we feel the winds of change, the story still remains the same
Dancing, together, two bodies feel as one
Closer and closer, destiny leads us on
You are the controller, the master of all my senses
You're taking me over, there's no escape
(chorus - with "Though we feel the things have changed...")
And now you broke through my defenses, you brought me in out of the cold
But as the atmosphere condenses, I write my name across your soul
(chorus - without "the same")
'Cause you can run, but you can't hide
Through the fire and the flame that keeps burning deep inside
We all need love, we all feel pain
Though we feel the winds of change, the story still remains the same
(Flight Of The Spruce Goose)
He was a coalminer,
working down in Pittsburg P.A.
She was his bride,
but he held her in his arms for just a day
Everybody told him he was crazy,
but he knew better
Couldn't get that girl out of his head,
he was gonna get her
Loaded up the truck, and stole her away
I'm gonna steal ya, I'm gonna steal you away
I'm gonna steal ya, gonna cut a road to L.A.
A thousand miles to go,
and a thousand more behind,
they were on the run
Love can make you blind,
so you never realize just what you're running from
Everybody told 'em they were crazy,
but they knew better
Sure as there's a sun up in the sky,
they were gonna get there
Put their trust in luck to show them the way,
yeah yeah
I'm gonna steal ya, I'm gonna steal you away, gonna get you today
I'm gonna steal ya, gonna cut a road to L.A.
(Solo)
Just like that silver bird, we were never meant to fly
Forget about them, put your trust in me
You're gonna see your name up in lights
I'm gonna steal ya,
I'm gonna steal you away, gonna get you today
I'm gonna steal ya,
gonna cut a road to L.A., hey yeah
I'm gonna steal ya,
I'm gonna steal you away, gonna get you today
I'm gonna steal ya,
I'm gonna steal you away, steal you away
I'm gonna steal ya,
gonna steal you away, yeah
Steal ya, I'm gonna steal you away
I'm gonna steal ya, I'm gonna steal you away
I'm gonna steal ya, I'm gonna steal you away
I'm gonna steal ya, I'm gonna steal you away, yeah
I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna
I'm gonna steal ya, I'm gonna steal you away, gonna get you today
I'm gonna steal ya, gonna cut a road to L.A., yeah yeah
I'm gonna steal ya, I'm gonna steal you away, yeah yeah
I'm gonna steal ya, I'm gonna steal you away... (to fade)
